Collateral Design

Today we are starting our unit on collateral design.  Students learned about the elements of collateral design, then made a diagram of how to use them in their notebooks.  Next, we took magazine covers and measured every element and put them onto another diagram in our notebook.  After we look at our diagrams, students will create a magazine of their choice using the template they sketched out.  This is usually one of the students' favorite projects that we do, so I am excited to see how it goes.
